Our first meeting with you was over thirty years ago, when we attended an adult education class given by a group of north suburban temples.

In 1990, we were temple shopping and attended a Friday night service at "`Beth Ichiban", which we enjoyed and your personal call that followed was very warm and you really welcomed us. Shortly after we joined Temple Beth-el. We will always remember your coming to our home with a challa and honey.

I remember you asked me (Joyce) to direct a senior activity program granted by the McArthur Foundation, which lasted three years. This opportunity led us to enjoy social as well as religious gatherings with you. Then L'Chaim was started which, thanks to your guidance are still going strong.
