"The Beswicks will always be grateful to Rabbi and Tamar. They have always been there for the joys of our lives and the sorrows. Not only is Rabbi our Rabbi, but also a special friend..."
 Doris Beswick

It was Purim. I had done some work at Temple, (on Touhy) and was getting a cup of coffee in the kitchen. A man dressed cave-man style, off the shoulder orange and black dotted suit, came to use the phone. He wore black shoes and socks and was bearded. It was beyond me who this person was, and of course how he was dressed. Finally, he got the number and spoke. In almost a whisper I said "Rabbi." His answer "Hi Dor" confirmed who it was. I have looked back over the years, and a smile comes to my face when I think of "cave-man." The Beswicks will always be grateful to Rabbi and Tamar. They have always been there for the joys of our lives and the sorrows. Not only is Rabbi our Rabbi, but also a special friend.

I am grateful to God that I met Tamar so many years ago. She has been a wonderful friend and she’s such a great lady! I feel so lucky to know her.
